It promotes a more collaborative, compassionate, and open way of interacting with others and a flexible approach to mental health services. Originally developed in Western Lapland, Finland, in response to psychotic experiences, Open Dialogue has grown over the past twenty years into a flexible method that can be used in a variety of mental health and crisis situations.

Open Dialogue is based on transparent communication and making decisions together with people, their families, and mental health practitioners. Meetings are run by at least two practitioners and/or peers, the person of concern, and their family or social network. This contributes to a holistic support that is adjusted to each person’s needs. In the meetings, the treatment team openly shares what they think and feel with the person and their network, encouraging transparency and shared understanding. The aim is to make a space where people can explore their experiences, question assumptions, and come up with new ideas together.

Open Dialogue offers practices and values that can enhance human rights-based approaches in therapy, mental healthand social care. Beyond healthcare, its principles are increasingly being used in managing organizations, helping with collective decision-making and fostering an inclusive culture.

At the Institute of Systemic Therapy in Thessaloniki, we offer prompt and flexible support from an interdisciplinary team trained in Open Dialogue.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text text_color=”color-jevc” uncode_shortcode_id=”130832″ text_color_type=”uncode-palette”]Christina Lagogianni[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row row_height_percent=”0″ overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ column_width_percent=”100″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″ content_parallax=”0″ uncode_shortcode_id=”185092″][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text text_color=”color-jevc” uncode_shortcode_id=”114814″ text_color_type=”uncode-palette”]Open Dialogue is a therapeutic and philosophical approach […]

["post-161194","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
