As parents we tend to draw from our own experiences as children, the children of our parents. However, we live in a continually changing society, a society in which almost everything is relative. Consequently, the fundamental points of reference drawn from our parents often do not provide satisfying answers to the questions and challenges we face, when we interact with our own children. As parents we are asked to leap forward, sometimes in big steps, in order to cope with the demands of the modern world.
In this group participants have the chance to reflect on their parental role, to answer questions and dilemmas concerning various ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ ways of raising their children, to explore alternative solutions, to focus on the positive sides of their children and to view situations and circumstances from alternative perspectives. This is usually a valuable experience, because it is beautiful to grow and mature alongside our children…
The group consists of 7 to 10 participants and meetings take place on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
