Psychologist – Psychotherapist

She received her Degree in Psychology (social-clinical direction) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

She attended postgraduate studies in “Counselling in Drug Addiction” (KETHEA, University of San Diego, California, Psychiatry Department), in “Management and Social Planning in the Field of Drug Addiction” (National School for Public Health, KETHEA, University of San Diego, California, Psychiatry Department), and in “Criminal Law and Addiction” (Law School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, KETHEA, University of Nicosia).

 

Sotiria Chatzi is trained in systemic psychotherapy and in systemic couples’ psychotherapy.

She is trained in trauma therapy: EMDR, CRM and DBR.

 

She worked in the Institute of Mental Health for Children and Adolescents of the Social Psychiatry Association.

She also worked at a private school in Thessaloniki (Protypa Ekpaideftiria), where she offered support for learning disabilities, counseling for children, adolescents and their parents and family therapy.

 

From 2002 until 2022 she worked as a psychotherapist at KETHEA-ITHAKI (Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals) in all units of Thessaloniki (Counseling Center, Support Center for Families, Therapeutic Unit, Center for Social Reintegration, Open Program, Unit for Adolescents). At KETHEA she offered individual and group counseling and psychotherapy to clients with different addictions (drugs, alcohol, gambling, internet etc.). She worked with adults, adolescents, and their families in all therapy phases.

 

Sotiria Chatzi works nowadays as a psychotherapist with individuals, couples, families, and groups.

 

She is a member of the Systemic Association of Northern Greece (SANG).
