WHEN CHILDREN GROW OLDER…

Adolescence is a crucial period for the development of young individuals: intense hormonal changes happen and young people discover their sexuality, test their limits on a physical and psychological level, experiment in their peer relationships, seek role models and form values. All the while they are beginning to build the foundations for their occupational career. It is indeed a period of searching and insecurity, and conflicts and anxiety crop up in everyday life.

In the midst of this turmoil, how can parents of teenagers remain calm? How can they cultivate relationships with their adolescent children that are based on communication and understanding? It is often a challenge for them to reflect on their own values, on what is important and what isn’t. How can they be optimistic and demonstrate trust in their children and their children’s future?

The group consists of 7 to 10 participants and meetings take place on a fortnightly basis.
