She completed her studies in psychology (Bsc) in Goldsmiths University of London, with a first class honours, followed by her Master’s Degree (MA) in childhood and youth in the Open University, UK.
She is trained in narrative and systemic psychotherapy (6 years). She has completed her training in EMDR trauma therapy. She has participated in seminars on mindfulness, psychodrama, and support in sickness and death. She is the first Greek therapist that has attended successfully the three years training in Open Dialogue (Open Dialogue UK), having as core trainers Jaakko Seikkula, Jorma Ahonen, Kari Valtanen, Mia Kurtti and Nick Putman (2018-2021). In June 2024 she completed the two years training for trainers in Open Dialogue UK, with the same international training team.
She holds the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP).
In her collaboration with young adults, couples and families she encourages the co-creation of relationships and narratives that concentrate on the resources and values of individuals. She is particularly interested in the embodied experience and in the feeling of safety in dialogical processes as a way to enable all voices and perspectives to be heard.
She is an academic partner of the Laboratory of Applied Psychology of the Psychology Department Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
She has worked at the Anatolia College Thessaloniki from 2017 to 2021 as a psychology instructor and psychologist for high school students in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
Christina Lagogianni was an active member in projects run by MIND in London regarding children and young people who hear voices or have other unusual experiences.
She was an intern in Soteria, Alaska (alternative programme in dealing with psychotic crisis), in the Centre of Mental Health of West Thessaloniki (systemic-family approach) and in the psychiatric department of the Hospital in Xanthi (North Greece).
She is a member of the Systemic Association of Northern Greece (SANG) and a founding member of the Greek Association of Narrative Psychotherapy and Community Practice.
